What is a credit and how are they calculated?

A credit is the unit of measurement for your usage. Credits are consumed when you ingest traces, run evaluations, or use other platform features. Each trace consumes credits based on the number of spans it contains. Check the docs for the detailed breakdown per feature.

Is there a free plan or free trial available?

Yes. The Starter plan is completely free with 20K credits per month, unlimited seats, and 30-day data retention. No credit card required. You can use it as long as you want — it's not a trial.

What are traces?

A trace captures a complete execution of your AI agent or LLM call — every step, tool call, input, output, and decision point. Traces are the foundation of observability in Latitude. Multi-turn conversations and complex agent workflows are fully supported.

What happens if I exceed my usage limits?

Both Starter and Pro plans are hard capped — you won't be charged for overages. On Starter, ingestion pauses when you hit your limit. On Pro, you can purchase additional credit packs at $20 per 10K credits. Enterprise plans have custom volume agreements.

Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan anytime?

Yes. You can upgrade from Starter to Pro instantly. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your billing cycle. There are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees on any plan.
